What is recorded here
In rough, generally level pasture, densely overgrown with vegetation across large areas. Small, roughly oval clearing (dims. c. 8m NE-SW; c. 6m NW-SE) visible at this location; ground surface here has a slight depression. A small oval cropmark is visible on aerial photography (OSi 2005). Corner of field boundary adjacent c. 5m to W. A large oval area is evident upon aerial photography, adjacent to NE . This is a distinct oval rise covered in dense rushes, thistles and ragworth. At ground level, it appears to be a natural rise, however the distinct outline evident upon aerial photography suggests a definitive cropmark.
