Enclosure in Knockbeg West

In level pasture on the S bank of the Owenmore River. Immediately to S is undulating rising ground, much of which has been quarried away. A rectangular area (16m N-S; c. 24m E-W) of level ground defined by traces of a fosse on the E side, by a field boundary (Wth 1.7m; H 0.3m) with a drain (Wth 1.7m; D 0.5m) on the S side and by a field boundary on the W side. The N side is defined by the river bank. Moated sites (SL026-021002-; SL026-021001-) lie 20m and 100m to W respectively.
