In tillage, on ridge overlooking River Blackwater to S. Cropmark of fosse of large circular enclosure (diam. c. 90m) visible in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989). NW edge of enclosure truncated by railway line (visible also as cropmark in aerial photograph). No visible surface trace of enclosure though slight hollow noted in area. Mesolithic find scatter (9815) c. 60m to SW in same field.
