What is recorded here

In undulating pastureland. This circular enclosure (max. diam. 33.6m), in fair condition, is defined by a wide earthen bank (Wth at SW 3.5m; base Wth 12.3m; int. H 1.85m; ext. H 0.7m). There is no visible trace of a fosse but a there is a possible entrance feature at S. The interior slopes towards the centre. Possibly a barrow but McCaffrey (1952, 257, no. 15) classified it as an 'Earthen fort' and noted that had been badly damaged by quarrying and cultivation.
