What is recorded here

No visible trace remains of the D-shaped enclosure in Garrynagry, yet St Annan's R.C. Church has occupied its heart since 1810. The building stands inside a forgotten boundary, proving the enclosure was never empty but waiting for a purpose worthy of its shape.

In undulating farmland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure (D c. 40m), the interior of which was then, as now, occupied by St Annan's R.C. Church (built 1810).
