Enclosure in Derroograne

In rough hill pasture on bog, covered with moor grass, on a terrace on a W-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Barony River and its surrounding mountains. A circular area (13m N-S; 12m E-W) is defined by the jumbled remains of a stone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.4m) protruding above the surface of the bog. The interior slopes down to the W; there is a fern-covered pile of stones in the E half. The damaged entrance is at NE. Walls radiate from the enclosure at W, NE and SE.
