Enclosure in Dangan (bunratty Upper By.) is a collapsed semi-circular stone wall beside a church and graveyard in County Clare. It measures about twelve by eleven metres, has no visible entrance, and remains hidden from historic mapping. The wall still stands low under sods and thorn trees, marking a small excluded space at the edge of the woodland.

In fallow arable land at the W edge of mixed woodland, c. 2m to immediate SW of church (CL035-089001-) and abutting graveyard (CL035-089002-). Not depicted on OS historic mapping. A semi-circular area (12m NNW-SSE; 11m ENE-WSW) defined by a collapsed sod-covered rubble stone wall (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3m; Wth at top 0.65m; overall Wth 2.75m) SSE-N. The monument is defined by a later field boundary (long-axis NNW-SSE) along the straight side to ENE. The interior is generally clear, with loose stone in places and possibly rock outcrop off-centre to E. Thorn trees and some Ash grow on top of the enclosing elements WSW-N. There is no apparent entrance gap. There is no extant evidence that the enclosure continues into the graveyard to ENE. The following images have been uploaded: CL035-170----_01.jpg From W.
