Enclosure in Cremorgan

In undulating countryside. Remains of an earthen bank (max. Wth 2.55m; Top Wth 1.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.25m) retained by a stone wall externally except at S and SW and W. Stone wall replaces it at SW and the entrance gate replaces it at the W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
