What is recorded here
In improved pasture, at the base of a ridge on a SW-facing slope. A circular area (diam. 24m) defined by a scarp (Wth 1.75-2.4m; H 0.4-0.52m) from NW-SSE and external fosse (Wth 7m; D 0.3m) from NNW-SSE which has been deepened (Wth 7.45m; D 1.45m) from SE-SSE. The enclosure has been truncated by a channel (Wth 2.5-3.5m; D 0.45m) and townland boundary across the SW sector, with no extant remains visible to the SW. The interior is grass covered and appears to have a NE-facing slope. The ground is higher along the W edge of the channel, possibly due to upcast from drainage works.
