What is recorded here

Immediately W of a stream in marshy terrain. Indicated as a tear-drop-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 42m N-S; c. 20m E-W, narrowing to the S) on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and as a roughly semi-circular enclosure (dims. c. 30m N-S; c. 24m E-W, truncated to E by the stream) on the 1900 revision and on the 25-inch OS map. When visited in 1987 there was a quarry at this location, however, the cartographic evidence suggests that there was an enclosure at this location. The area is now covered in forestry.
