Towards the top of the N-facing slope of the broad WNW-ESE Carnfree ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 35m E-W; 28.3m N-S) defined by earthen banks (Wth 4-4.5m; int. H 0.6-0.9m; ext. H 0.8-0.9m generally to 1.6m at S), with a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5.2m; Wth of base 1.5-2m; D 0.3m) only at S. The perimeter at S is built over a field bank of field sytem (RO028-056001-) and the perimeter is truncated by a N-S field bank at W, but an original entrance cannot be identified.
