Barryroe Bay and Ivanе contained one enclosure, perhaps a fort or boundary marker, now reduced to a faint stone scatter on a West Cork ridge. The earth kept its shape long enough for people to walk past and imagine the hands that arranged it. Loss came quietly when fences were removed and the ridge was levelled, but the bay light still touches the place where marble and memory agreed.

In pasture, atop ENE-WSW ridge, overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay to SW. Locally known as "fort". Levelled during field fence removal c. 1982. Slight rise defined by concentration of surface stones (diam. c. 18m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
