Enclosure in Caherpierce is a small sub-circular enclosure on the south slopes of Mullaghmore mountain, overlooking Castlemaine Harbour. Its earthen bank stands about ninety centimetres high inside and seventy outside, forming a narrow chamber seven to eight metres long and five point eight metres wide. The southeast entrance has a stone set on edge along its south side, marking the threshold between the mountain and the sea. Whoever built it did so with little material but exact intent, shaping a small room where the horizon could be watched.

It measures 7 to 8m NW-SE x 5.8m NE-SW internally, and the earthen enclosing bank averages .9m in height internally and .7m externally.
