On rocky slopes of Knocknagallaun with commanding view to N over Coulagh Bay and Kenmare River. Irregular area (22.9m N-S; 21.5m E-W) on natural platform enclosed by rough stone wall (max. H 1.15m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
