What is recorded here

Enclosure in Broghill North is a circular earthwork in County Cork, measured at twenty-one metres across and still visible as a low rise in pasture. It appeared as a depression on one map and a raised area on another, suggesting either changing observation or a shape that resists easy description. A ringfort and earthwork stand nearby, implying the field held more than one human purpose. The enclosure may have marked a boundary, a home or a ceremony, but its exact role has faded. What remains is a clear circle on a north-facing slope, waiting to be remembered.
