Enclosure in Boulerdah,reacaslagh (iveragh By.)

A large circular field or enclosure (KE070-002002-), measuring 21.6m in diameter, incorporates a hut and two adjoining structures in its E sector. Extending S, E and W from this field are a number of NE-SW linear walls, some of which intersect with shorter walls at right angles. A modern drain cuts through one of these, at which point the peat is .8m deep. The walls, composed of uprights and block-like boulders, average .75m wide and protrude up to .6m above the bog surface; some disappear at intervals beneath the peat.
