What is recorded here

In level area of improved pasture; drained stream beds and drainage channels evident. A circular area (dims. 20m N-S; 19m E-W) bisected by a townland boundary (long axis E-W; Wth 1.1m; H 0.75m) and defined by scarp (Wth 4m; H 1m) and an outer fosse (Wth 8.7m; D 0.7m) from WNW-ENE, which is shallower (Wth 6.1m; D 0.4m) in the SE quadrant. The fosse is backfilled where the monument is bisected by a field boundary in the E and W quadrants. The scarp is best defined from WNW-ENE and less defined (Wth 1.9m; H 0.2m) from ESE-SSE. There are traces of a possible outer bank (Wth 6.5m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.15m) in the NW quadrant. There is a large, natural hollow c. 7m to the SSE.
