What is recorded here
In pasture 130m SE of the townland boundary with Ballynaclogh and 13m W of the townland boundary with Knockballyfookeen. Enclosure lies 54m to E of a ring-barrow (LI024-186----). The enclosure is not depicted on historic OSi maps, it is faintly visible on OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12 or on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 43.2; AP 4/3673) as a U-shaped sub-rectangular enclosure (ext. dims. c. 40m N-S; 30m E-W). The site is visible on the Google Earth orthoimages taken 18/11/2018. The enclosure appears to respect the line of the townland boundary on its E side and a relic field boundary to the S suggesting a post-medieval date.
