What is recorded here

In pasture, on a very gentle E-facing slope. Oval area (dims. c. 40m N-S; c. 35m E-W) defined by well preserved earthen bank (overall Wth 6.05m; Wth at top 0.7m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 2.1m) ESE-WSW and NW-E. Bank levelled into fosse and is reduced to scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.7m) WNW-NW. Gap (Wth 4m) in bank E-ESE and causeway (Wth c. 3m) WSW-W. Fosse (overall Wth 5.6m; basal Wth 1m; D 0.75m) SE-WSW is well preserved and is reduced to scant traces W-NW and NE. Field boundary (long-axis c. E-W truncates fosse NW-NNE and respects monument NNE-NE. Interior is planted with conifers within N and S thirds and a narrow band (long-axis E-W) across centre is planted with broadleaves.
