Ballylegan holds a circular enclosure with two fosses, about thirty metres across, whose earth shadow appeared in a July 1989 aerial photograph. A possible entrance cuts through the outer fosse to the north, while another enclosure and a ringfort wait one hundred and fifty metres to the southeast. The land has kept these lines long after people stopped drawing them, suggesting a neighbourhood where several circles shared one valley.
