Enclosure in Ballyhooly North

In pasture. Roughly circular, slightly raised area (103m E-W; 91m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.1m), patched in parts by stone walling. Just inside bank NW->ESE is low scarped edge, facing down towards bank. Break in bank to NE, flanked by gate posts; smaller gap to ESE. Interior under pasture. Aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989) shows circular enclosure as partially levelled. Levelled portion, NNE->SSW, visible in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1995) as cropmark of bank and external fosse.
