What is recorded here

Ballygowney is a roughly circular enclosure in County Kilkenny, Ireland, about thirty to thirty-three metres across. A ringfort stands two hundred yards to the northwest, while a moated site waits a hundred and fifty metres to the south-southwest. Together they form a small cluster of occupied ground, perhaps a family, a workshop or a seasonal camp, though no name has reached us. The enclosure itself has no gate, hall or hearth left behind. It is a hollow circle in the land, waiting to be remembered.
Identified as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 33m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) on Digitalglobe satellite imagery (viewed 20 January 2021). There is a ringfort (KK009-020001-) c. 350m to the NW and a moated site (KK009-021----) c. 150m to the SSW.
