Enclosure in Ballyganner South

Enclosure in Ballyganner South is an 11m ring on a gentle N-facing Clare slope, still visible in modern imagery though grass has softened its edge. It sits within a large multiperiod field system, not alone, suggesting the land has been divided, reused and remembered across several ages. A ring-cairn lies 160m to the west, perhaps a marker or companion, while the enclosure itself may have held a hut, a shrine, a pen or a promise. Whatever it was, the slope kept its shape long after the hands that made it stopped pressing against the earth.
