Enclosure in Ballycahane

Situated on a N-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area with a possible ringfort (TN025-083) to the S. The poorly preserved remains of an enclosure consisting of a small circular area (diam. 16m approx.) enclosed by a much degraded bank with slight fosse (Wth 2m), berm (Wth 10m) outer bank (Wth 3m) and external fosse (Wth 3m). The poor condition of the site is probably due to farming activities on the hill face and makes classification impossible.
