What is recorded here
In tillage. Indicated as a roughly oval enclosure on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and as a rectangular enclosure with rounded corners (dims. c. 47m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) on the 1947 revision. A townland boundary runs NE-SW immediately N of the enclosure and appears to kink out to avoid it. The monument was subsequently levelled as it appears on an aerial photograph (CUCAP BGG003, 16 July 1971) as a cropmark and on satellite imagery (Google Earth, imagery date 17 June 2017).
