Emily Sturge (1847–1892) was a co-founder of Redland High School for Girls and a founding member of the first Bristol Women’s Suffrage Society, while her sister Elizabeth Sturge (1849–1944) served as Vice-President and on the Council of the society. Both were prominent advocates for women's education and suffrage in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
