What is recorded here
Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Turlaghmore, County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1837 Ordnance Survey map marked it as a circular embanked enclosure about thirty metres across on a rise in an undulating landscape. It is no longer visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture, though a rath stands about 140 metres to the north-northeast.
Marked only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m), and situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. It is not visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture but it was probably a rath. The rath (RO051-030----) is c. 140m to the NNE.
