Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Deerpark (boyle By., Danesfort Ed),lodge, County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1837 Ordnance Survey map marked a circular embanked enclosure about 50 metres across, bisected by a north-northeast to south-southwest road on the southwest-facing slope of a ridge. Two other raths stand nearby, one 20 metres to the southwest and another 135 metres to the south.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) bisected by a NNE-SSW road on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the SW-facing slope of a NE-SW ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims. 27m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (H 0.2-1m) NE-E-SW which is truncated by a NE-SW road at NW. Rath (RO011-041----) is c. 20m to the SW and rath (RO011-043----) is c. 135m to the S. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
