What is recorded here
Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Curry (roscommon By., Annaghmore Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1837 OS 6-inch map marked an oval embanked enclosure about forty-five metres north-south and thirty-five metres east-west towards the bottom of an east-facing slope of Mullaghcreigha Hill. It is no longer visible at ground level because the area is covered with spoil.
Marked as an oval embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 45m N-S; c 35m E-W) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the bottom of an E-facing slope of Mullaghcreigha Hill. It is not visible at ground level in an area covered with spoil.
