What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Creevy, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a knoll on an east-facing slope as a subcircular, domed, overgrown platform measuring 31.3m east-west and 24.6m north-south. A scarp rising 0.9m at the north to 1.8m at the west defines the edge, while a slight fosse 2.5m wide at its base and 0.1 to 0.2m deep cuts the west to northeast. No entrance is visible, and an east-west field wall bisects the monument.

Subcircular, domed and overgrown platform (dims 31.3m E-W; 24.6m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.9m at N to 1.8m at W), with a slight fosse (Wth of base 2.5m; D 0.1-0.2m) W-NE. There is no visible entrance, and the monument is bisected by an E-W field wall. Archaeological testing (04E1186) S of the monument along the roadside produced no related material (Henry 2007a).
