Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrick (athlone South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. A circular embanked enclosure about 35 metres across appears faintly on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map on a south-west-facing slope. The earthworks no longer show in the pasture where four field banks meet, although Rath lies 200 metres to the south-south-east.
Marked faintly as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a SW-facing slope. It is not visible at ground level in pasture at a point where four field banks meet. Rath (RO048-183----) is c. 200m to the SSE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
