What is recorded here
Marked as small rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims. c. 45m NW-SE: c. 40m NE-SW) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located on a steep E-facing slope at the E foothills of Slievecoiltia. A sunken rectangular grass-covered area (dims. 30m E-W; 16m N-S; D 0.4-0.8m) is visible. It may be a moated site (Barry 1977, 213, WX 4). Moated site (WX034-046----) is c. 20m to the SW.
