Elizabeth O'Farrell walked through heavy fire on Moore Street with a white flag, forcing the guns to pause so she could deliver the surrender terms that ended the Easter Rising. She stepped back just before the famous photograph was taken, hiding her own presence while Patrick Pearse faced the British officer, yet her feet remained visible in the original image before later copies erased them. The park in County Dublin exists to stop that erasure, giving her name and act back the visibility she refused to take for herself.
