Edzell Castle is a ruined tower house and walled garden built from 1520 onward by David Lindsay, 9th Earl of Crawford, in Angus, Scotland. Its Renaissance garden, laid out in 1604, still holds intricate relief carvings unique in Scotland, while the castle itself was more a country house than a fortress. The site sits near a 12th-century motte that once guarded Glenesk, linking the elegant ruins to a much older line of local power.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edzell Castle as Ring Ditch (period Unknown)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Edzell Castle was built by the Ogilvy family in the 15th century and later held by the Earls of Kinnoull. It is important as a well-preserved example of a Scottish tower house and as a historic seat of a prominent noble family in Angus.
