What is recorded here
Edmond John Fitzmaurice was born in Tarbert, County Kerry, Ireland, on June 24, 1881, before becoming the fourth bishop of Wilmington. The small birthplace gave up a man who crossed an ocean to teach theology, administer a large archdiocese, and later shepherd a new American diocese until 1960. His life turned a Kerry childhood into Delaware duty, carrying Irish formation into American church work.
