What is recorded here
No wall, hedge or ditch remains visible around the Cloonclare parish church, though it is still listed as an ecclesiastical enclosure. The land may have worn smooth, been cut through or simply stopped being drawn as a boundary. What is certain is the absence: a church standing open to the field, with no trace of the ring once written against it.
Classified as an ecclesiastical enclosure in the SMR (1988). There is no evidence of an enclosure around the parish church of Cloonclare (LE011-019001-).
