Situated at base of N-facing slope of a high hill. No monument visible on Digital Globe aerial photography or on OS historic mapping. The monument is only indicated on Larkin's 1808 map of Co. Westmeath (NLI, MS 46,580). A roadway no longer visible running E-W is depicted at this location on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. The cropmark of the levelled road is visible in field to E. Levelled monument described in 1984 as a semi-circular-shaped earthwork (15m N-S) defined by a low bank (Wth 2-3m) which encloses a level area. A modern field fence running NE-SW skirts the E-side of the extant remains and may bisect the earthwork. There is no obvious evidence of a fosse.
