Earthwork in Glenlary

In pasture, an earthwork (LI049-092----) lies 140m to the E. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped platform (diam. c. 21m) defined by a scarp. Tree-covered monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Numerous relic watercourses are also visible with an overgrown watercourse running NE-SW, to the E of the monument. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
