Situated on the SE-facing spine of a NW-SE spur. A circular enclosure is depicted here only on the 1859 revision of the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map. No archaeological feature is visible on aerial images where there is a slight bend in a road bank N-E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
