Located on a low natural E-W ridge in fairly level, gently undulating land, in pasture. Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map but not indicated on the 1952-3 ed. The site was removed when the railway line was constructed. According to the landowner there was a sand pit roughly W of the railway line where the W part of the site formerly stood. Not visible at ground level.
