What is recorded here
In pasture 50m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Ballinrea. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 33; AP 5/2063) as a possible enclosure. Outline of monument visible as a circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 27m) on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12. Visible as faint cropmark to E of farm track on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019.
Doubtful antiquity, may just be a natural feature, raised area of dry ground.
See attached Bruff aerial photograph (Bruff 33) and Google Earth orthoimages.
