Gateway, extant 1839, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cut-granite panelled piers on plinths having beaded cornices below shallow pyramidal capping supporting spear head-detailed cast-iron double gates with cut-granite panelled outer piers having beaded cornices below shallow pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Duninga House.

A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 12402118) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at an entrance on to the grounds of the Duninga House estate.
