Dundrod Historic Settlement in Dundrod

Dundrod Historic Settlement

What is recorded here

Dundrod Historic Settlement occupied County Antrim through the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, forming a compact human presence rather than a vague empty field. Rooms, lanes or workshops may have filled that space, forcing neighbours to share noise, smell and risk. The exact layout has faded, but the settlement remained large enough to demand cooperation, patience and repeated choices about who could enter or leave.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Dundrod Historic Settlement. Recorded period: C18TH/C19TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
