Dromdihy House

Ruins of 2-storey house over basement; completed in 1833 by Roger Green Davis (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 134). View front (SE) of 5 bays with single-bay, flanked by single-storey ornate wings. Pedimented portico on NE elevation of NE wing, described by Glin (1988, 50; photo 53) as 'superb and very correct Doric'. Cut limestone neo-classical detail throughout. Stables to NW now converted into residential quarters. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
