Two green crocodiles watch from the top corners of a red-roofed cast iron canopy, guarding water that has refreshed Dornoch since the Post Medieval era. The fountain stands on raised steps beside the Cathedral, dedicated to Miss Georgina Anderson, whose generosity turned ordinary street stone into a small dramatic stage. Children may have raced to touch those impossible creatures while elders drank cool water, carrying her name through generations of local memory.
