Mountrivers holds a two-storey stone belvedere beside Coolcraheen House, built during the estate era when landlords shaped Cork landscapes into deliberate scenery. Its crude cantilevered stairs climb a wall to the first-floor door, suggesting a private view rather than a grand public monument. The tower still points toward the slope and distance, preserving the intention of a household that wanted its land seen as composition instead of accident.
