What is recorded here
Nobody knows which field, ditch or broken wall belongs to the lost settlement in Brockagh. It may have been a farm, a trading post or a temporary camp, abandoned before anyone thought to mark it. The land keeps its shape while human memory fades, waiting for someone to walk the area and recognise what the numbers cannot name.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as DESERTED SETTLEMENT: UNLOCATED. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
