The Decorated medieval floor tiles at Strata Florida Abbey were built by the Cistercian monks of the abbey, founded in 1164. The tiles, dating to the 13th or 14th century, reflect the Decorated Gothic style and are significant as rare surviving examples of medieval monastic floor decoration in Wales.
