David Clifford

David Clifford, born 22 January 1999 in Cork, is the greatest Gaelic footballer of his generation, a six-time All-Star who plays corner-forward for Kerry and Fossa. He won two Senior All-Irelands, eight Munster titles and a record three Footballer of the Year awards, scoring with fearless ease in the left corner. His debut came on January 28 against Donegal, where he struck once before Jack Savage replaced him, but that modest beginning belied a career of relentless brilliance. Clifford remains the measure against which modern Kerry football is judged.
