Danny O'Donoghue

Danny O'Donoghue was born in Dublin in 1980 and raised in Ballinteer, where he resisted music until dropping out of school to write songs with Mark Sheehan. They formed the Script in 2001 after returning from Los Angeles, releasing albums that peaked at number one in Ireland and filling stadiums with anthems about heartbreak and endurance. His voice carries the particular urgency of a young man who stopped arguing with destiny and started teaching it back to others.
